Naeemah Staggs, MHS, is a multi-passionate professional consultant that facilitates ways for individuals, communities, and organizations to better serve our most vulnerable yet resilient segments of society: children and families. With over twenty years of experience in child welfare and mental health training, technical assistance, and program management, Mrs. Staggs is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist with a focus on marginalized populations such as Black Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, children and youth in foster care and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) youth. Mrs. Staggs' trainings and workshops are designed to equip participants with practical tools and skills to help communities heal and thrive. Naeemah is passionate about empowering all to be part of the solution in their community. Training and speaking topics include child welfare, mental health, suicide prevention and more.
Currently, Mrs. Staggs teaches at the the University of Maryland School of Social Work and serves as a trainer and consultant for multiple agencies and organizations including the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and Darkness to Light .
In her free time, Mrs. Staggs enjoys empowering women both online and in-person to share stories, strategies and resources for living an inspired life. A native Washingtonian, Mrs. Staggs currently lives in the suburbs of Washington, DC with her husband and 7 year old daughter.
